Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets the First Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted). Planning Commission meeting details are posted on the Town calendar and include any related documents such as agendas and meeting packets when available.
Speaking Rules for Public Hearings and Matters from the Public for the Planning Commission
Speakers are limited to one appearance of three minutes per Public Hearing and matters from the public, unless otherwise decided by the Planning Commission. At the end of the three minutes, you will be asked to end your comments. If more than 10 speakers are signed up to speak, the time allotted to speak may be reduced to two minutes. There is no limit on the number of speakers who may sign up to speak at a Public Hearing.
The Commission requests that speakers adhere to the following guidelines:
- When called on to speak, state your name and town/county of residence.
- Address comments directly to the Commission as a whole
- If you have written statements, e-mail them or provide a copy of the material to the Town Clerk.
- If you exceed your allotted time, you will be asked to end your comments.
- If a speaker does not use all allocated time, the unused time may not be shared with another speaker.
- Debating back and forth between the speaker and the public is prohibited.
- This does not prohibit commissioners, following the closing of the public hearing, from calling on a member of the public during the meeting to provide clarifying information.
