Scottsville Town Council

The Town of Scottsville hereby announces a vacancy on the Scottsville Town Council. Pursuant to Section 24.2-228 of the Code of Virginia and the Town Charter, the Town Council will appoint a qualified individual to serve the remainder of the unexpired term.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a qualified voter of the Town of Scottsville.
• Be a resident of the Town of Scottsville.
• Meet all qualifications required by Virginia law and the Town Charter for service on Town Council.

Appointment Process

Interested residents are invited to submit a letter of interest outlining their qualifications, relevant experience, and reasons for seeking appointment to Town Council.

Letters of interest should be submitted no later than November 30, 2026 to:

The Town Council may conduct interviews of applicants during a public meeting and will make an appointment at a subsequent meeting.
